Rocky Barnes x JAGGAD Launch Event
With a similar climate to Melbourne at the moment, Los Angeles in the springtime brings trans-seasonal weather, and along with it an added motivation to move and be outdoors.
Breaking into this new market, the JAGGAD team, along with some of our ambassadors made the trek across to Los Angeles for an active week, which included the launch of our new and exciting collaboration collection with Rocky Barnes.
Rocky Barnes is a born and bred California girl, so it only seemed fitting that we hosted our Rocky Barnes x JAGGAD Launch Event in Downtown Los Angeles, on a rooftop basketball court at LEVEL - classic LA, it repped street style vibes!
Starting in the late afternoon, with the sun going down over the hills, it produced the most beautiful light across the buildings and the court for a fun-filled mood and plenty of energy for the workout and event ahead.
The blue based basketball court was 'our stage' and was branded with our JAGGAD logos and stripes in colours of the range featuring khaki, pink and crisp white- very eye-catching!
As guests arrived, they were escorted through to a styling suite, to be dressed from head to toe in the collection. They were then encouraged to ‘brand’ their sweaters with a personalisation station set up by Family Industries, where you could have your name or nickname stamped onto your own #RockyxJAGGAD Lafayette Sweater.
Some key guests included, Georgia Gibbs, Angelique Cooper, Shae Scott, Laura Henshaw, Marika Day, Anabelle Smith, Tarryn Eden, Jen Kennedy and Sarah Piotrowski.
Following introductions, guests were treated to the short film covering Rocky’s history in Tae Kwon Do and the link to JAGGAD, supporting you with performance driven workout garments that are stylish and comfortable to wear to street.
Playing on Rocky’s expertise in martial arts, guests filtered onto the court to take their places for shadow boxing, with master trainer Tara Mobasseri from Box Union Studios (@boxunionstudio).
And what a workout!! Music pumping from DJ Lindsay Luv (@lidsayluv) softened the heat and toughness of the workout as the guests were put to the test with a hyper-efficient total body workout.
Boxing to the beat of the music enabled all to push away any mental limitations as they built combinations of punches and defensive movements. A great cardio workout and total body sweat meant they were pushed to their limits, yet all with massive smiles on their faces!!
